The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings. Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise. The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a national radio breakfast show. The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December. The ceremony will be aired from seven in the evening GMT. The Football Star Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory. She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent. Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe. She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player. Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. "Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. Littler's Profile Age: 18 Sport: Darts The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history. He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles. He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record. "To receive a nomination for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." Perrin's Profile Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August. Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s. It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international. Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player. "I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
